Community Service
Mary Ellen has been active in various community groups. Among other things, she is currently Vice-Chair of the Holy Name School Advisory Committee, she assists with Holy Name's Pack 1026 Cub Scouts, and she has taught Sunday School at Holy Name Parish. Mary Ellen has also been involved with the Michigan Chapter of the American Liver Foundation (including organizing and running a fundraiser each year), and she has volunteered to perform guardianship reviews on a pro bono basis for the Oakland County Probate Court. Utilizing the experience that she and her husband obtained in adopting their third child (Abhi) from India, she has also spoken to groups about the joys and challenges of the international adoption process. |
